Surface level people

ba dum tss.

small world, huh.

we got chatting and that line came up again: "it's a small world."

millions of people in jakarta. millions of people in bali. but somehow, the circle keeps coming back to the same people. or at least… people who are connected.

i didn't get hired at this company just because of my CV. the head of marketing knew my old boss. reputation travels quietly. work networks are quieter, but stronger than we think.

stranger still, a random person i met at a bar, just chatting with zero expectations, turned out to be really close mutuals with a friend of mine.

and i don't believe that's just a coincidence.

to me, a small world isn't some romantic line. it's about patterns. about how we actually live in the same cluster: similar values, ambitions on the same frequency, ways of thinking that click.

we think we move freely in a big city, when most of the time we're just moving from one orbit to another orbit in the same galaxy.

i'm someone who believes in patterns. if something keeps happening, there's a structure. there's positioning. there's reputation. there's energy we give off without realising it.

that's also why i'm careful.

because in this "small" world, one decision can echo a long way. one attitude can come back to you as an opportunity, or a consequence.

i don't really believe in coincidence. but i do believe in alignment.

when you keep meeting the same type of people, with similar conversations, with chemistry that feels familiar…

it's usually not random.

it's usually because we're growing in the same direction.

and maybe the world really is small.

or maybe… people levelling up into similar phases of life will always cross paths, until they finally realise: those meetings weren't a coincidence
